sorry no meets at present

I apologise for not being able to organise any meets at the moment.

I am currently in the middle of moving house and all my spare time is being taken up with the packing.

I also thought at the moment with summer holidays and being such a lovely summer (although its raining this week) then it might be too hot on occasions to meet up, so for the welfare of the hounds to wait till the hottest months have passed.

I will hopefully be starting up again in August - prob mid to late Aug so please watch this space for the next date

busy May

Hi, May is another busy month but it might be possible to set up a meet at the end of the month or beginning of June

If you cannot wait, I will be at the Greyhound Rescue West of England show on Sunday 17th May at Mark, Somerset so feel free to pop along and join in, or just buy stuff off the stalls.

I will be hopefully doing a dance with pepper during the break so it would be worth popping along to laugh at us (or applaud if we are any good)

Hope to see you there, and will post a date as soon as I can.

Just an off topic plug

It has been brought to my attention a new website that has started up to help disabled dogs from the result of blue merle matings. As this blog is all about rescues and the joys of having them, then I thought it sutiable to put a link up.

So have a look and spread the word, just click on the word link above

Apologies for no March meet

I was hoping to be able to post a date but unfortunatley work has not been playing ball and have actually been called in for most sundays this month.

The only date I was free, was prebooked for the West Country Game Fair at Shepton Mallet (the Bath and West Showground), which was last weekend

Hopefully this link will work on here, but this is what we got up to. I with Pepper do dance demos to publisise the breed of sighthounds and rescue dogs - mainly to show there is more to having a dog than just walking and feeding it, the most improtant thing is to have fun. I am blessed with her talents - which are hard to control sometimes, so we use them to show how much fun they are and the interaction you can have with your dog, no matter how little it is. Getting your dog to do something fun and bonding with them is great for everyone. Enjoy the films

(if you cant see the videos, copy and paste the youtube links that will take you directly to the youtube page to watch the videos)

And yes that is her skateboard, she decided that she could do it so I taught her to do it on command.

SDC12118

This delightful lad is looking for a home at the moment, he is being fostered in a lovely family with two greyhounds (peppers best buddies) and is a delight in the house, I have to say he is a delight to meet too.
SDC12120

A new lad to the group, he has recently found his forever sofa with the springer for a sister. He is a beautiful lurcher and looking forward to seeing more of him and how he grows in his family home.

Another new lurcher to our meets, she is a lovely rough coated girly
